Inner Intuition
My painting attempts to depict the intuition of human beings. The depiction is against a scene showing one broken neat, a tree in spring and a ladder. Two leaves are flying at top speed from left to right. They follow the direction of the wind and are accelerated by its speed. The person is climbing the ladder without any assistance. But this does not mean he has overcome all the present obstacles in his life and/or those challenges he will experience in the future. This is illustrated by the broken neat which reflects his struggles to date. The neat is the point which he has reached and is simply exhausted by his great hard work and endeavours so far. In pausing here, he reflects now on what he needs by way of luck to reach his destination. His hopes and dreams for the future can be seen portrayed upon the expressions upon his face. He thinks about what has already got him to this point reflecting that he now needs the extra push of luck to change his life forever. It was the high-speed wind that propelled him towards this high vantage point. A panorama with an exciting open view lies directly in his vision. A land of open space beckons with an offer of freedom. It offers the prospect of lifting heavy burdens from his shoulders. These burdens have anchored him into an unchanging landscape. What now will be his destination if ,like the leaves, the wind sharply pushes him further from left to right? This would not be a random fall because the safety net of his foundations from the bottom of the ladder are earthed in hard work, persistence, and a stubborn refusal to give up. "Never give up" is a phrase that captures the true meaning of what you see in the picture. The clouds will move away, the next summit will come into view and a new dawning like the dawn of Aquarius will splash with vivid colour in front of him. No longer hidden from view. He knows now through his intuition that it is time to start the next ascent!
