Trying To Remove All The Mayhem From The Universe /Princess Of Peace

In this painting you can find your own meaning. In my mind , the girl is bound or trapped by social barriers. These obstacles block her right to protest or protect herself . However , she can still indicate what is she looking by her expression, actions and her work. She has signalled the word "PEACE " in a layer of drying blood. And she shows it to the world by putting the drying blood within the chaotic situation .This I denote with the mix of colours.

If you look from left to the right the colours are peaceful. This shows she has arranged her thoughts so that all the situations match perfectly.

In the end with this very deep mindfulness, she has achieved a peaceful situation. However, if you look to the extreme left , you will see I show many piece of different clothes, connected to each other. This means she didn't show all her current situation which is filled with sorrow. But she was working very hard and in the end finds a peaceful outcome. This is illustrated with the flat line of colors which is satisfying and depicted in the extreme right. This tells us that in her mind there was always stabiity against a green environment. She always takes this on board within in her mind. She was trying, and through her falling red tears ,she sees a peaceful end.. And this merges with her white colors which she used to write on the drying blood sheet Blood sheet simply means what happens when an amount of blood falls down. It starts to make a layer or foundation. And it is upon this peaceful foundation that her deep hopes and wishes rest.Rest in Peace!

But first we must have some poetry. And there are two poems that help with a greater understanding of this whole picture.Firstly, in 1826, Felicia Helman wrote her chilling but poignant poem “ Casabianca”. All about a burning blazing ship and a boy. “The Boy Stood on the Burning Deck” Its opening lines take us directly to the girl in the blue/green window thus:- “ The boy stood on the burning deck, whence all be he had fled. The flame that lit the battles wreck, shone round him o’er the dead. Yet beautiful and bright he stood, as born to rule the storm. A creature of heroic blood ,a proud though childlike form”.

The girl behind the bars in the peaceful green and blue sanctuary is heroic and proud. She will rule this storm. And it is because of this green/blue sanctuary that she will not go away. It represents faith and where there is faith there is hope! So, the girl in this picture will not go even amidst the raging vicious red flames of chaos, danger, mayhem and violence. Why should she?

She brings to mind a much shorter second poem, written 70 years later in 1896 by Frederick Langbridge, a British author and clergyman He wrote about the very different perceptions of two men together in a jail cell . “ Two men looked through prison bars, one saw mud, the other saw stars”The girl will not go away because she sees the stars! The face of the girl is open. It is not frightened. She sees the stars. She sees peace. Her look conveys hope and looks down the dark red mist at Peace from her own sanctuary or haven! There is tranquillity in this part of the picture. And the fact that other shades of blue are slowly breaking through some of the hard red surround suggests that her prayers and thoughts of peace are coming to pass. PEACE appears to be crying but on second glance this is really cool water cascading with the blue and helping to bring an end to the fire of destruction PEACE will stream above the gallant girl like banners in the sky. Her stars!

She dares to be a Daniel
She dares to stand alone
She dares to have a purpose firm
And the picture makes it known!
