Energy of Creation

In the beginning of time, there was nothing but darkness. But that would change within a fraction of a second, a time scale so small that we aren’t able to perceive it, yet that is what made all the difference. Light would pave the way for life. From the elements of the cosmos came the stars. From them, our existence. This is what the portrait represents. The bright light at the top is an allegory to the limitless but incomprehensible realm of pure energy.

This is where light materializes itself and obtains its absolute characteristics. But that is without form or order. Matter as well as living beings have an implicit order sewed into their fabric of existence .Thus, during a creature’s genesis, the tether of life connects the formless realm of energy with the cosmos and in doing so, energy is borrowed from this vast and infinite realm of primordial enigma and concentrated into a definite

space in an instant of time. It is a subtle symbolic allusion. There is no ‘cold’ but only the absence of warmth and that is embodied by the vast nothingness of the dark blue abyss which sets the premises for the act. In its expanse, no breath has been ever taken nor shall ever be. Only through warmth can one fathom the conduit of life. In our solar neighbourhood, the sun does this pretty well. Think of all the carbon-based life forms that wouldn’t have flourished had there been no sunlight. The fate of this new-born and all other life forms are intertwined. It is a continuous exchange of matter and energy that ensures the nurturing of a leaf as well as a child.

From the eye of the designer who sits outside the reaches of the human mind, it is a closed-loop system. Matter flows into energy and vice-versa. The Science is subtle, the art is elusive yet perceptible. The orange and the yellow elements are a tribute to the rays of the sun which represent an infinitesimal fragment of energy. The rays nurture this being who is wrapped in its embrace. One can spot the subtle flavours of purple which is suggestive of the continuity of life forms or in other words, the reproductive cycle .A benevolent mix of the light and the dark, this piece is an ode to a creature that is unveiled in space and time after the element of energy takes form .They grow up to contribute and, in the end, after the journey of life comes to an end, returns back what is borrowed for a finite amount of time. It is what always has been and always will be ,the circle of life.
